The Rabbit and the wolf

            One day when a rabbit was walking in the forest, he heard someone crying out, “Help! Help me, please!” He looked around and finally he saw a wolf. A great stone had fallen on his back so that he could not get up. The wolf asked the rabbit’s help and he said that he would die if nobody helped him.

           The rabbit worked very hard and finally he managed to get the big stone off the wolf’s back. However instead of saying thank, the wolf jumped up and caught the rabbit in his mouth. The rabbit cried and asked for mercy but the wolf insisted on killing him for his meal.

           Then the rabbit said, “No good person kills someone who has helped him. It is not fair. You can ask the duck, who is very fat and knows everything”.

           Therefore both of them went to the duck. He listened to their story and he said ,” show me the stone. I want to know how the story happened”. Then, They all together went to the stone.

          “Now, let me be sure about this,” said the duck. “Put the stone on the wolf’s back exactly as it was when you found him.” So the wolf lay down and with much effort the rabbit put the stone on his back again.

        “Well, what do you think?” the wolf asked the duck. The duck thought for a moment. Then he said,” I think you were wrong to be cruel to the rabbit, who had helped you. Now wait and see until someone else will help you!” Then the duck and rabbit left the wolf in the sorry state in which the rabbit had come upon him. They laughed at the wolf although he asked for help. “Help! Help me, please!”

            JAKARTA:  A 13-month-old baby, Alexandro Fransisco, was kidnapped Sunday by a maid working on JL. Pademangan Barat, North Jakarta, police reported Wednesday.

           According to Ervin, Alexandro’s aunt, the maid stole Rp 1 millon in cash and a cell phone, in addition to taking the boy.

          Alexandro’s parents were working at their cellular phone shop in WTC Mangga Dua at the time, leaving the boy with his grandmother, Liu Kim. Ayu, the maid, kidnapped Alexandro while Kim was showering.

          His parents reported the incident to Pademangan Police on Monday.

          Ervina said Alexandro’s parents did not know much about the woman they had employed, other than her name. “They didn’t ask for all of her identification papers,” she added, as quoted by detik.com.

Gunung Tujuh Lake is one of many lakes in Kabupaten Kerinci in Jambi Province. It is an amazing tourist place to visit. The location of Gunung Tujuh Lake is in Kecamatan Kayu Aro. It is about  50 kilometers  from Sungai Penuh to Pelompek village by public transport. Then People climb and walk for another 4 km or for 2.5 hours. The lake is surrounded by steep forest slopes and seven mountains.

             The highest peak of Gunung Tujuh Lake is 1,950 m above sea level. The length of the lake  is 4.5 km and the width is 3 km. It is a volcanic lake and the highest in Southeast Asia. The temperature around the lake is very cold. Besides waterfalls you can also find animals such as siamangs, elephants, and birds. Gunung Tujuh Lake is really beautiful with spectacular scenery.

My Wonderful Experience at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha.

       In December 2006, I went to Doha to participate in the 2006 Asian Games, taking part in the Beach Volleyball Championship. We prepared for a long time, training hard and fighting for approval of our participation. Nothing was easy. My partner, Clara, My coach, King, and I were aiming to get into the top 8 at the Asian Games.

         Unfortunately, I sprained my ankle one week before our departure, which frustrated me beyond belief. I had physiotherapy every day following the injury, and tried to recover as quickly as possible. Of course, an ankle couldn’t heal completely in a few days, so I had no choice but just try my best and have my ankle taped when I played in matches.

          We played against teams from Thailand, Mongolia and Malaysia. The most difficult and important match was that against the Malaysian team. We planned well for the match and tried our very best. But finally we lost to them and ranked 9. It was so close; we nearly reached our goal – to be among the first 8 teams.

The Jakarta Post, Jakarta: Nganjuk Police are investigating the death of 14-year-old Eka Wahyuningsih who was killed after a truck hit her while riding a motorcycle Wednesday morning. 

         Second Insp. Irninsi, Nganjuk Police traffic accident unit chief, said the police had arrested the truck driver Poniran, 50, who might be charged for ‘negligence leading to death’.
