ACT 1 : Your teacher will play a record, before listening to it, please study the following words below to make you understand the dialogue.

ACT 2 : with your partner, study the following questions before listening to the text !    

  1. Where does the conversation take place?
  2. Who are they in the dialogue ?
  3. What season is it ?

  7. What is Kendi’s idea about the trip?

ACT 3 : Now listen to the text carefully, your teacher will play it twice.
ACT 4 : While listening, please answer the questions above with your partner!

The little girl and the wolf

One afternoon a big wolf ……1….. in a dark forest for a little girl to come along …..2…
a basket of food to her grandmother. Finally a little girl did come along and she was carrying a basket of food. “ Are you carrying that basket to your …..3..?” asked the wolf. The little girl said yes, she was. So the ….4… asked her where her grandmother ….5…. and the little girl told him and he ….6…. into the woods.
         When the little girl opened the door of her grandmother’s house she saw there was ….7… in bed with a nightcap and nightgown on. She had …..8…. no nearer than twenty-five feet from the ….9…. when she saw that it was not her grandmother but wolf, for even in a nightcap a wolf doesn’t look any more like her grandmother.  Situations :
1.      You write a letter to your new pen-friend and give information about your nice home town, and invite him/her to come to your town.
2.      Write a letter to your new friend and tell him/her about your family and your activities in your school.
3.      Write a letter to your friend and tell him that you are so busy in doing your activities so you are late to reply his/her last letter.
4.      Write a letter to your close friend and tell that you have just arrived from your holiday in other town and also tell him/her about the tourism objects that you visit.

One morning Kendi and Rudi were having a chat in the verandah of Kendi’s house.
Kendi  : Well, the dry season already comes again.
               I am so sweaty
Rudi     : So am I. Do you plan to go somewhere tomorrow?
Kendi   : No, I have no plan to go out
Rudi     : Why don’t you have  a leasure time tomorrow?
                I am going to make a trip to Tretes.
                Will you join me ?
Kendi  : That sounds nice. We can rent a villa for a night there
Rudi    : That’s great. Our sons and wife  must be happy.
              They can swim all day.

ACT 4 :

I am a sixteen-year-old girl and I am in high school. I’d like to have pen-friends from all over the world. My hobbies are corresponding with boys and  girls of my age, listening to the music, collecting key-holders and reading.
I am learning English. It’s one of my favourite school subjects.
By writing and answering letters in English, I hope I can improve my English, but the most important thing is I like making friends.
